How it works
A Sui address is the hash of the key that controls it (and the key's type). The wallet signs our message as a Sui personal message and returns the signature with the public key; the key must hash to your address and the signature must match. Ed25519, secp256k1 and secp256r1 keys all work.

Questions
Does signing cost SUI or gas?
No. A personal message isn't a transaction, so nothing is sent and there's no fee.
My Sui and Aptos addresses look alike. Which is which?
Both are 0x and 64 characters. Connect the wallet the address belongs to; the certificate names the network.
Can I use a Ledger?
Yes, if your Sui wallet supports signing personal messages with it.
